Kristy's Challenge for December Daily Week 3

Winter Wonderland
This is a double page spread with collaged elements, stamping and heat embossing. I also  embellished the page with a gold paint pen, pearl dots from a pentart paint pen, chalk ink splatters and rub-ons i.e. the pink & orange birds. The 'let it snow' is a sticker that I have had for years. The snowman is from StampinÚp  -it is heat embossed and accented with gel pens. The shimmer from the Pentart paint doesn't show too well.

Glitter and Gold

The ornament is done with a brass stencil and jac paper and 2 lots of glitter. the corners, flowers and butterfly are die cuts from gold paper. I also used gelatos.
The candle page is again done on jac paper. The candle image is from a die cut and coloured with Pitt pens. The sentiment is cut out of gold paper. The top and bottom edges is done with red glitter adhered to packing tape.

Something that represents me

The background on this page is done with used/dried tea bags. I adhered them with diluted pva and inked over them with distress ink. The background isn't very visible now as I decided to add the words. The tea bags represent me as I am a tea drinker and I love to recycle im my crafting. The page was put together with pieces that I had in my stash. The paper frame I have had for years. The green abstract pieces I did with a mixture of red & gold glitter and clear gesso. I used 2 different stencils to make the designs. I like the texture from this mix. the edging and words are from embossed card that I did some time ago. I think they are both cuttlebug embossing folders.

What I made for the Christmas Down Under Swap

This swap was organised by Jeanette...Scrappin Happyxo...on You Tube.

I had 5 partners and we all chose our individual colour schemes.

We had to make an ornament, a card and include a small gift bag of goodies.

#1...Cream/White/Gold

#2...CREAM/WHITE, SILVER & LILAC/PURPLE

 #3...RED/GREEN/GOLD/SILVER

#4...RED/GRREEN/WHITE - Traditional Shabby Chic

#5...WHITE/CREAM - Vintage Shabby Chic

Button Wreath Card

I made this card for a challenge from Nicky Parr in the International Crafters' Facebook group. I made a rough circle from multiple strands of string and then strung the buttons together with a single strand of string. I hot glued them to the string circle and added the little purple heart buttons in between after threading them with a thin piece of string . I made the string bow and added a red heart button to the centre.
I glued the button wreath to a piece of mulberry paper that I tore in a rough circular shape. I then added the sentiment which came from a Kaisercraft paper pad. I glued this to a paper background - again from Kaisercraft - and adhered it to the card base. The final touch was to add the green heart buttons in the corners.

Word of Inspiration Wednesday - FORGIVENESS

This page is done with 2 different napkins. I did some outlining with gel pens and the quote is printed on my inkjet printer.

A quick and easy page although the collage with napkins is a bit fiddly. I love using them though!

The flowery one is from Sue - Shiles728 on you tube.

A Before and After Journal Page in an Altered Book

I did this about 2 years ago.
This time I added rice paper with the fish and added some shading with Pitt pens.
I accentuated the seahorses with outlining. Originally they were done with ink through a stencil.
The sea grass was done with a tree stencil and modelling paste. I think I coloured it with markers. This time I went over it with the Pitt pens - green & black.

The lattice is modelling paste through a stencil. I didn't do anything to it this time except cover a lot of it up with the rice paper.

The scrolls around the edge are stamped.
They don't show much now though! I added the bubbles with black gel pen. They are part of the seahorse stencil.

I also outlined the fish because I tried to accentuate them with a white chalk paint pen and ended up having to remove most of it.

Sunday Sentiments - 4x6 Art Card - Oct 19, 2014

I already had the background done with homemade sprays made from SU re-inker and water. I had gessoed it first. I have a heap of these cards from when I was a Linen consultant so they have text on them. They are invitation cards.
I recently bought some Tim Holtz stamps that were almost half price. The stamps here are from the Urban Chic collection by Stampers Anonymous. I think it's been around for a while. I used Versafine ink which really gives a great impression every time. The circular dots stamp is by Hero Arts - I went over the image with a black paint pen. The floral border is a rub-on from Art Stamps Australia.

I stamped the hearts on the background and also on white card and cut out 3 different sizes. The sentiment is also stamped on white card. I outlined the hearts and the bird with the black paint pen and inked the edges of the card with black Archival Ink. I added some more texture to the background by stamping the splatter dots which were on the edge of the heart stamp.

The background is coloured with spray inks on watercolour paper. I used modelling paste coloured with chalk through a Crafters Workshop Stencil. The hearts are a stamp from Stampin' Up - I used a SU marker to ink the stamp and added white gel pen outlining.
The focal image is done with a House Mouse stamp and coloured with watercolour pencils. I went over the popcorn with the gel pen.
The lettering is my handwriting on red card with white gel pen.The pen is a UniBall Signo. I also punched out the red heart and outlined it.
